Beluga Whales and Dolphins Take on The Nutcracker for Christmas

In the holdiay classic The Nutcracker, the Nutcracker Prince travels with Clara to the Land of Sweets on a boat pulled by dolphins. I bet when Tchaikovsky wrote the masterpiece in 1892 he never dreamed that actual dolphins would be dancing to his music, but that's exactly what happens in A Dolphin Christmas, one of the newest holiday shows at SeaWorld San Antonio this holiday season.

A Dolphin Christmas features the timeless music of the Christmas classic, The Nutcracker, combined with the ever popluar Pacific whitesided dolphins and beluga whales, high divers, synchronized swimmers, and aerialists. The music was re-orchestrated just for this show and it allows for animals and human performers to showcase choreography that our guests have come to love. In it you'll recognize classics such as Dance of the Sugar-plum Fairy (pre-show), Waltz of the Flowers (the silk aerial act), Waltz of the Snowflakes (beluga whale and synchronized swimmers), and Mother Gigogne and the Clowns (Russian swing). The show temporarily replaces Azul at the beluga stadium during the holiday season. Come check out this new spin on an old holiday classic. A Dolphin Christmas is sure to amaze young and old and put you in the holiday spirit!
