The holiday season brings exciting times at SeaWorld San Antonio, including the all-new “Clyde & Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas.” SeaWorld has brought in Broadway director, BT McNicholl to create the scene for our holiday sea lion, walrus and otter show.
In “Clyde & Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas,” our sea lion friends realize that they have never been visited by Santa. With the help of Elfred the elf, Clyde & Seamore prepare for Santa’s arrival.
McNicholl is represented on Broadway as the Resident Director of the smash musical Billy Elliot, and Tony-winning hit Spamalot. His 10 other Broadway productions have featured such celebrated talents as Morgan Freeman, Nathan Lane, Bernadette Peters, Mel Brooks and Stephen Sondheim.
McNicholl first got involved with Busch Gardens and SeaWorld about 3 years ago when he was brought on to help with the direction of Busch Garden’s show “Katonga.”
When talking about his time with BuschGardens, McNicholl said “It was the beginning of a terrific journey that led to directing a show at SeaWorld Orlando and now in San Antonio, and I hope to do many more.”
