SeaWorld San Antonio Gives Thanks for the Birth of Baby Shamu!

SeaWorld has one more reason to be thankful this holiday season. Takara, a 22-year-old killer whale, gave birth to a calf today at 12:08 a.m. The yet-to-be-named calf is the 29th killer whale born in SeaWorld’s history, and it joins five other killer whales that reside at the San Antonio park.

Through the Years: My SeaWorld Journey at a Glance

After seasons upon seasons of fun, today marks my last day at SeaWorld San Antonio. I have accepted a new position in Galveston to be with my fiancé. Time flies when you're having fun. Needless to say, six years working at SeaWorld has flown by faster than you can say "Shamu." Goodbyes are never easy, but reflecting on my time here brings nothing but smiles and fond memories.
