Keep it Clean

One of the greatest joys of working at SeaWorld San Antonio is participating in the outreach events that are available to team members. Knowing that actions speak louder than words, I find that reaching out is very rewarding.

SeaWorld on the Road and Reaching Out to Young Patients

Several times a year, SeaWorld team members from Communications, Education and Conservation, and the Animal Ambassador Team hit the road to spread our conservation message. We participate in interviews for the media, conduct presentations at elementary schools, and visit children's hospitals across Texas.

America Recycles and at SeaWorld San Antonio, So Do We!

November 15 marks the annual America Recycles Day, which brings awareness to importance of reducing our nation’s waste. According to the Houston Chronicle, America Recycles Day got its start thanks to Texas Recycles Day back in 1994.

STARs Visit SeaWorld

About two months ago I was contacted by an employee of the City of San Antonio who is also a member of the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling, or S.T.A.R., regarding a site visit to SeaWorld San Antonio. Working with him, I found out that there was a sustainability conference being held in San Antonio and the group was offering an outing to visit our park to see our conservation and recycling efforts.

Air Quality Stewardship Award Recipient

Honored by the nomination, we submitted our application for this prestigious distinction. Recently, we learned that SeaWorld was selected as an award recipient! Often times some of our conservation initiatives go unnoticed, but behind the scenes we are always looking for ways to be greener.
