I graduated December 17, 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Marketing from UTSA. In the midst of studying for tests, getting ready for graduation and trying to find extra tickets for my family for the ‘big day,’ I had to start looking for jobs and applying ASAP. While searching, just about two weeks before graduation I found SeaWorld San Antonio’s post for a marketing internship.
The March of Dimes March for Babies 5K Run/Walk is one of the largest walking events, both locally and nationally. SeaWorld had the great honor of hosting the event again this year. With about 11,000 participants at the April 14 march, the event keeps growing.
April is the Month of the Military Child, and SeaWorld San Antonio was honored to be a part of celebrating with them at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas earlier this month. Shamu came out to meet and greet with children between their baseball, t-ball and soccer games and even hand out some bubbles to the little ones.
As we Spring Forward and change our clocks, we're also Springing into Night at SeaWorld San Antonio with extended hours and exciting shows, March 10-17!
More than 6,000 people attended this month's Annual Cookie Rally for the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas at SeaWorld San Antonio. The park has hosted the event for the past decade, and this year SeaWorld team members treated the Girl Scouts to a special presentation of SeaWorld shows, including the new Shamu show "One Ocean." Scouts (who were tall enough) got to ride The Great White and Steel Eel coasters.

Be sure to check the blog site regularly to see the progress as we countdown to the opening of Aquatica San Antonio in May. Each month we'll post a new onsite vlog, so stay tuned!
In honor of the gift giving season (see: Christmas, Boxing Day, Hanukkah), SeaWorld San Antonio team members took time to remember domestic animals in need in our local shelters. To support these animals, our team members pitched in for "Pet Tree" donations.
When my friend Tricia asked me to join her on a marsh grass plant, I had no idea I’d be digging mud out from beneath my fingernails 2 days after the fact! Or that I’d unknowingly help to transport bugs from one location to the next in the waistband of my pants! But I’m always up for trying new things and it’s a project supported by the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund, so how could I refuse.
Aquatica San Antonio will be coming to SeaWorld in May 2012. Recently, we had the opportunity to take some San Antonio media and Texas bloggers to Aquatica in Orlando, Florida for a familiarization tour. When given the chance to go, I gladly said YES! This was my very first time to see Florida, so to get the chance to finally visit our sister parks was exciting.
