More than 6,000 people attended this month's Annual Cookie Rally for the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas at SeaWorld San Antonio. The park has hosted the event for the past decade, and this year SeaWorld team members treated the Girl Scouts to a special presentation of SeaWorld shows, including the new Shamu show "One Ocean." Scouts (who were tall enough) got to ride The Great White and Steel Eel coasters.

One of the best and worst things about my job is being “in the know” before the general public about all the new things happening at the Worlds of Discovery Parks . This is great because I love knowing what new and exciting things are happening around our parks, but not so great when you are waiting for the newest attraction to be built.

I had previously written about my three and a half year old niece Kylee coming to take a ride on a SeaWorld's Shamu Express roller coaster for her first coaster experience ever during spring break.

The energy was almost a pulse in the room, just absolutely contagious. I walked into the Boardwalk Event Center at SeaWorld San Antonio to a thumping beat, down a dark hallway until entering to see a changed room. Changed not by decorations, but by the sheer fun and excitement flowing from every team member.

It was my first SeaWorld San Antonio Rides Rally and I was just blown away. I expected to have fun, how can you be around some of the most enthusiastic team members at the park and not crack a smile?

One of the things I love about working at SeaWorld San Antonio is getting to learn about all of the new happenings at not only my park, but also at our sister parks.

Some girls put on make-up during the drive to work. Others eat breakfast. I, however, watch the coasters during my daily trek to SeaWorld San Antonio.
