SeaWorld San Antonio currently has an unusual guest visiting the park. Our visitor comes to us from the Canary Islands where she is a Supervisor of Penguins at Loro Parque. At Loro Parque (Spanish for “Parrot Park”) Maria Almudena Gonzalez Robles is the supervisor of the “Planet Penguin” area of the park, which is home to over 200 King, Gentoo, Chinstrap, Rockhopper and Humbolt penguins, as well as Atlantic Puffins.
Well, it’s the offseason and the park is closed. We’ve been getting a lot of questions about when the park opens, so I decided to do a little PSA. The park officially opens on Feb. 2 with Wild Days (which is awesome and everyone should come). BUT did you know that you can still come do cool things at the park? No joke. Our interaction programs run all year long, even when the park isn’t open.
Last Friday, SeaWorld's resident penguin stars, Pete and Penny, made an appearance on the ice at the AT&T Center for the San Antonio Rampage game. Pete and Penny represented this SeaWorld-sponsored game.

In this week's WAVE-TV, we introduce you to a whole crop of penguin chicks born at SeaWorld San Antonio!
Pete and Penny, two of the penguins who live at SeaWorld San Antonio, recently took a trip to walk the blue carpet for the premiere of Discovery's Frozen Planet, which premieres March 18th.
A passenger snapped this great video of the penguin pair stretching their legs in the aisle mid-flight!
Hopefully you have been getting some good tips from our last couple of posts from guest blogger, Blake Foster. We found Blake on our Facebook page answering questions and interacting with our guests - a Facebook Superfan was born!
What would you say to an exclusive, all-day Grand Adventure tour of SeaWorld San Antonio? We are so excited to announce the newest addition to our public animal tours, and this time we have definitely pulled out all the stops.
Several times a year, SeaWorld team members from Communications, Education and Conservation, and the Animal Ambassador Team hit the road to spread our conservation message. We participate in interviews for the media, conduct presentations at elementary schools, and visit children's hospitals across Texas.
