Last week we showed you some pictures of our newest member of the SeaWorld family, and asked if you could identify him. You all certainly know your baby animals - the vast majority of guesses were correct, identifying the chick as a penguin. But the last time I checked only two individuals, Bethany and Amanda, even got the species - king penguin!

Pete and Penny, two of the penguins who live at SeaWorld San Antonio, recently took a trip to walk the blue carpet for the premiere of Discovery's Frozen Planet, which premieres March 18th.

A passenger snapped this great video of the penguin pair stretching their legs in the aisle mid-flight!

It’s Saturday, July 9th - my third day on the island. There was a rainstorm overnight - I wish I could send some of the rain clouds to Texas! The morning dawned rainy and foggy, which ruled out any early field work. Instead, we geared up for the day by making bacon and pancakes, which is the perfect way to start any rainy morning!

You'd have to go to the Antarctic to see as many different varieties of penguins as you will at the Penguin Encounter at SeaWorld San Antonio.
