We love our Facebook fans! Did you get a chance to read our post from yesterday? One of our Superfans, Blake Foster is guest blogging this week on our blog with tips for our park guests. Here are Blake's tips on "Enjoying SeaWorld to the Fullest."
Are You Ready for a Grand Adventure?
What would you say to an exclusive, all-day Grand Adventure tour of SeaWorld San Antonio? We are so excited to announce the newest addition to our public animal tours, and this time we have definitely pulled out all the stops.
The Final Splash of Texas Splashdown
After 20 years of chills and thrills at SeaWorld San Antonio, the log flume ride, Texas Splashdown, will make its final splash on Friday, May 13. The ride has been enjoyed for more than two decades, and SeaWorld is inviting guests to experience it one last time before the ride closes.
Back to School Resources for Teachers from SeaWorld
Now that summer is coming to a close and “Back to School” time is here, we would like to share some of the many resources we have for teachers. From online materials to in-park programs, we provide resources that enable students and guests to develop a lifelong appreciation, understanding, and stewardship for our environment.
It's Barbecue Time!
Here at SeaWorld we love getting involved with the community and especially with good causes.
Moving Time: SeaWorld Trainer Moves to New Waters
To be a great trainer, I need to be able to train a variety of animals through a variety of techniques. A perfect trainer at SeaWorld can work both pinnipeds (seals, sea lions, and walruses) and cetaceans (whales and dolphins.)
To this example, I have been moved around a bit in my animal training career at SeaWorld San Antonio. I started as an apprentice at Shamu Theater, then worked at Beluga Stadium seven years ago. After one year working in the Interaction Programs, I have been at the Sea Lion Stadium for the last five years.
I recently found out that I'm moving back to Belug
Top Ways to Get Wet at SeaWorld
Shamu Theater, one of seven ways to get WET at SeaWorld San Antonio Great ways to get wet at SeaWorld San Antonio...I certainly have my favorites, however I like to spend most of my time in the park trying to view the park through our guests eyes.
Summer Nights Preview Party
One of the many perks of working at SeaWorld is that team members come first, and this was the case on June 10th, the Summer Nights Preview Party. Team members and up to 3 guests were invited to come to the park after general operating hours and have a night filled with shows, karaoke, and even a roller coaster/water ride, Journey to Atlantis.
Ready, Set… GO!
For the little kids in the family, this is the last weekend you can catch Big Bird's Beach Party. The very last show is at 3 p.m. on Monday.
SeaWorld Launches Fun Card
Today we launched our new Fun Card program at SeaWorld San Antonio by donating 1,000 Fun Cards to the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio. I think it's cool that the kids receiving these cards will get to enjoy SeaWorld San Antonio, some of whom might not normally come out to the park otherwise. I loved SeaWorld San Antonio as a kid. Let's face it, I still love coming to the park, even on my days off.
