Change of Season at SeaWorld…

The crisp chill in the air that hit the park this week can only mean one thing … a change of season! And while I hate parting with October and the fun frights of Howl O Scream, I do love sipping hot chocolate and stealing kisses under the mistletoe! And I can’t help but smile as I watch the park don over a million lights in preparation for SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration.

Through the Years: My SeaWorld Journey at a Glance

After seasons upon seasons of fun, today marks my last day at SeaWorld San Antonio. I have accepted a new position in Galveston to be with my fiancé. Time flies when you're having fun. Needless to say, six years working at SeaWorld has flown by faster than you can say "Shamu." Goodbyes are never easy, but reflecting on my time here brings nothing but smiles and fond memories.

Duck, Duck, Goose!

Ah, the sounds of Summer at SeaWorld San Antonio - the energetic music of Shamu Rocks!, the giggling of children frolicking around Sesame Street Bay of Play, and the pitter patter of….little webbed feet!

Over the past several months an incredible number of ducklings, goslings and other chicks have hatched at SeaWorld San Antonio, including Red-Crested Pochards, North American Ruddy Ducks, Mandarin Ducks, Hooded Mergansers, Cinnamon Teal, Scarlet Ibis and Roseate Spoonbill. Some species, like the Hawaiian NeNe Goose, are endangered.

My latest opportunity was to once again contribute to our education based TV show Shamu TV: Saving a Species. A two day journey to Florida allowed me the opportunity to learn and teach about the plight of the sea turtle. Diary of an Intern: Behind the Scenes at SeaWorld San Antonio

by Staff

I graduated December 17, 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Marketing from UTSA. In the midst of studying for tests, getting ready for graduation and trying to find extra tickets for my family for the ‘big day,’ I had to start looking for jobs and applying ASAP. While searching, just about two weeks before graduation I found SeaWorld San Antonio’s post for a marketing internship.

Military Child Appreciation Day

by Staff

April is the Month of the Military Child, and SeaWorld San Antonio was honored to be a part of celebrating with them at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas earlier this month. Shamu came out to meet and greet with children between their baseball, t-ball and soccer games and even hand out some bubbles to the little ones.

Penguins on the Ice

Last Friday, SeaWorld's resident penguin stars, Pete and Penny, made an appearance on the ice at the AT&T Center for the San Antonio Rampage game. Pete and Penny represented this SeaWorld-sponsored game.
