Duck, Duck, Goose!

Ah, the sounds of Summer at SeaWorld San Antonio - the energetic music of Shamu Rocks!, the giggling of children frolicking around Sesame Street Bay of Play, and the pitter patter of….little webbed feet!

Over the past several months an incredible number of ducklings, goslings and other chicks have hatched at SeaWorld San Antonio, including Red-Crested Pochards, North American Ruddy Ducks, Mandarin Ducks, Hooded Mergansers, Cinnamon Teal, Scarlet Ibis and Roseate Spoonbill. Some species, like the Hawaiian NeNe Goose, are endangered.

Filming a Special on Sea Turtles

I really enjoy my job! SeaWorld gives me awesome opportunities to do some interesting things. My latest opportunity was to once again contribute to our education based TV show Shamu TV: Saving a Species. A two day journey to Florida allowed me the opportunity to learn and teach about the plight of the sea turtle. While there I checked out the new Turtle Trek experience at SeaWorld Orlando and saw a rescued sea turtle. I highly recommend this attraction that co

Diary of an Intern: Behind the Scenes at SeaWorld San Antonio

by Staff

I graduated December 17, 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Marketing from UTSA. In the midst of studying for tests, getting ready for graduation and trying to find extra tickets for my family for the ‘big day,’ I had to start looking for jobs and applying ASAP. While searching, just about two weeks before graduation I found SeaWorld San Antonio’s post for a marketing internship.

Whale-Sized Rally for Texas Girl Scouts

More than 6,000 people attended this month's Annual Cookie Rally for the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas at SeaWorld San Antonio. The park has hosted the event for the past decade, and this year SeaWorld team members treated the Girl Scouts to a special presentation of SeaWorld shows, including the new Shamu show "One Ocean." Scouts (who were tall enough) got to ride The Great White and Steel Eel coasters.

Just How Fast Can a Cheetah Run? Shamu TV: Find the Answer in a Unique Way

My job is cool. For years I' ve enjoyed a career training and performing with beluga whales and Pacific whitesided dolphins, but I recently got to experience something that I never dreamed I would. I've never been one to play sports but last week I found myself on a football field in Tampa, Florida. As if being on the 50 yard line wasn't enough, I got to witness one of the most amazing athletes dash across the field at amazing speeds. But this athlete was no member of the football player. He was a cheetah! Yes, you heard me! A
