We’re on the road again! Each year in the early spring, the SeaWorld San Antonio Marketing, Animal Ambassador, and Education Departments travel to several of our neighboring communities to spread the word about what’s new in our park for the upcoming year. While we’re in town, we also takethe opportunity to share our animals and their stories with schools.
Dine with Jack…if you dare!
Looking for some one-on-one time with Jack? My husband and I got to enjoy dinner and Jack’s company during Dine with Jack at SeaWorld San Antonio, and I must say this was definitely a new twist on date night!
A Fun Look at Halloween
Fall is here! Finally, a break from the heat... only in South Texas is 87 degrees considered cool.
Not only is there cooler weather, but Halloween fun as well.
All Can Ski at SeaWorld San Antonio
My favorite event of the whole year at SeaWorld San Antonio is “All Can Ski”. Held in mid-August this annual event is sponsored by the non-profit organization San Antonio Sports. We have been honored to play host for this incredible event for the last 16 years.
Completing the Camp Circle
I’ve written about former campers and where they are now, whether it is up at Shamu stadium as a trainer or working with sea lions or in the Florida Keys on a lobster boat, but this story may be the best yet. A few weeks ago, one of SeaWorld San Antonio’s first campers brought her own family back to camp. Julie was a part of our first day camp group in 1992 and part of the first resident camp in 1994. She then came back as a camp counselor in 1996 & 1997, the years that I was a camper.
Have Questions about the Animals? Ask Education!
Now that summer is in full swing, the SeaWorld Education and Conservation Department is busy as ever. Walk through the park, and you’re certain to see our Day Campers in their “buddy lines”, singing cadence songs as they head to their next activity, Career Campers shoveling snow at the Penguin Encounter or helping out during an Azul show, and if you look close, you’ll probably see a few tour guests on their way to another
A Day in the Life of Clay!
I get the question all the time, "Clay what do you do at SeaWorld?" My answer always is, well I work with animals, but that's not the whole story.
Students Get a Sneak Peek of “Turtle: The Incredible Journey”
Last Tuesday, over 150 students enrolled in Judson Independent School District’s Summer Adventure Club had the opportunity to view SeaWorld Picture’s first film: Turtle: The Incredible Journey. These pint-sized VIPs were the first in Texas to check out this educational documentary film. Santikos Theatres partnered with SeaWorld to sponsor the special screening.
