It seems that social media pros speak a different language sometimes. I consider myself one of those pros, although often a novice compaired to my collegues. Our jargon is filled with hash tags, acroynms, screen names and TONS of hyperlinks. This form of shorthand communication keeps us connected to each other and the world around us at lightening fast speed.

Fans of SeaWorld San Antonio on Facebook or Twitter have likely grown accustomed to this quick exchange of comments and news, and many of you have dived right into the conversation.

Very soon, we'll announce a online, interactive game that encourages our Web community to nominate and select some of SeaWorld's biggest fans. Naturally, we tapped a team of social butterflies to help us give the game a kick start.

On Sunday, May 23, I welcomed a few dozen members of the Business Media Public Relations (BMPR) and the Social Media Club San Antonio (SMCSA) groups to SeaWorld to capture their visit in photos. These photos will be used as the first, or seed, photos for the upcoming online game.

My new BMPR (pronounced "bumper") and SMCSA friends toured the park like kids, snapping hundreds of pics of them enjoying shows, rides and lots of other fun activities.

I'm excited to see how their photos turned out, but I'm even more pumped about sharing news about our online game. Stay tuned to this blog later this week for more details.

Follow @thebmpr and @SMCSA on Twitter for lots of fun information about stuff happening around San Antonio, I know I will!
