Does that sound like an oxymoron to you? At SeaWorld San Antonio we take conservation of our natural resources very seriously. Even in the construction of Journey to Atlantis, we made sure that conservation of water and materials was a high priority.
Journey to Atlantis Conservation Features:
- The pools at Journey to Atlantis contain 400,000 gallons of water, which is completely cleaned and recycled every 4 hours.
- Landscapers planted ten palm trees, 2,500 perennials and shrubs, 3,200 annuals and 95 trees in the Journey to Atlantis ride area. They also used 300 yards of mulch to keep the plants moist and conserve water use in the hot summer months.
- The Park Operations team bought 26 trash cans, 20 benches and 9 tables for the Journey to Atlantis plaza area. They feature blue and green recycled glass in their pre-cast concrete forms.
