“Oops... I almost forgot. I won't be able to make it fellas. Veronica and I are trying this new fad called uh, jogging. I believe it's jogging or yogging. it might be a soft 'J'. I'm not sure but apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It's supposed to be wild.”
- Ron Burgundy (Anchorman)
I am now a few weeks in to this madness and I can say that I am pretty excited…or scared...as I had mentioned before I have been doing most of my “training” indoors. Most of you realize that the problem with jogging indoors is that well it isn’t outdoors! Jogging outside is a whole different animal-one has to brave Mother Nature. For starters there are no air conditioners, or televisions. There is definitely no oasis and, for the Diabetics out there, no Capri Sun stands.
Must repeat to myself - I will do this…I will do this…Next goal find 3 miles to jog and stick to it. We will see how this works out.
Any thoughts on great places to run/jog/walk in San Antonio? Are any of you training for SeaWorld San Antonio's Run for the Fund? Any advice?
Happy jogging, or yogging!
