Summer Nights Fireworks Finale This Weekend

Summer Niiiiiiiiights! Everybody, are you with me?

Our country music readers might have caught the Rascal Flatts reference. You know, summer really has a soundtrack of its own. Everyone's got their favorite summer tune. While you're reading this blog, try to think of that one song that reminds you of summer whenever you hear it. Then, tell us what that song is in the comments section below the blog.

I digress. But I can't help it. Music has a way of making memories a little more rememberable. I feel that way about the soundtrack to SeaWorld's Summer Nights shows. When May rolls around, I can't wait to hear the music from Shamu Rocks, or the compilation of park tunes at Clyde & Seamore's Sea Lions Tonite show. These songs call up memories of my first summer season at the park last year. I moved from Memphis to San Antonio in April 2010, and I spent a lot of my first summer in the Alamo City at SeaWorld. My three kids - ages 5, 4 and 2 - love coming to the park, and the night shows were the perfect after dinner entertainment.

But unlike last summer, we're ending this season of Summer Nights with fireworks! And, you might have guessed it, we'll have music as a part of that show. In fact, there'll be live pre-fireworks performances on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, we welcome the Palacio Brothers back to the Ski Lake stage, and the all-female mariachi band Damas de Jalisco will perform on Sunday.

So bring your blanket and watch the fireworks by Ski Lake as we bring Summer Nights to a close. We'll provide the music. And the memories.

Tell me below what song that, when you hear it, reminds you of summer.
